Is
The Ransom of Red Chief considered children's literature? I dunno about you, but I certainly had to read it in school. Now Maureen Dowd has had a lovely little piece on how the invasion in Iraq has some striking similarities to that particular short story. I don't dabble much in politics on this blog, but when they tie into children's literature in some way I'm all ears.
OK, so while this isn't about politics but rather ridiculous celebrities (I prefer my celebrities with talent; Or at least jobs), while I cannot stand Paris Hilton, I've always thought that a great film version of The Ransom Of Red Chief would star Paris in the role of Red Chief.
ReplyDeleteI love that. Except that prolonged exposure to her image tends to leave me incapacitated.
