Children's literature is not for the weak. It is a ruthless cutthroat business with lots of gnashes of the teeth. Children's librarianship, in contrast, is a sweet sweet ride. Now you can hear me as I growl, gargle, and kvetch my way through news, reviews, and interviews. Kidlit podcasting = scary new world.

Mary Poppins Recut
I've seen this on a lot of other blogs and I can only assume you've all seen it. Just the same, it's hard not to appreciate the artistry at work here. So here it is kids. Mary Poppins as you always suspected it might secretly be.
That one, to my mind, is better. It's far easier to make a film look like a thriller than it is to make a thriller look like a family comedy. "Must Love Jaws" is also pretty good (unless it goes too far near the end).
That's hilarious. I've never liked the film. I prefer Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle to Mary Poppins.
ReplyDeleteEvil evil woman - that spoon full of sugar was probably laced with something demented
