Children's literature is not for the weak. It is a ruthless cutthroat business with lots of gnashes of the teeth. Children's librarianship, in contrast, is a sweet sweet ride. Now you can hear me as I growl, gargle, and kvetch my way through news, reviews, and interviews. Kidlit podcasting = scary new world.

I Love Spying On Kidlit Critique Groups
I stumble onto them once in a while and it's fun to see what they're up to. The blog Outside of a Dog is said to consist of, "eight writers and illustrators who came together in 2000 as an on-line writing group." One member of this group, Kim Norman, also has a follow up to her Santa Baby parody "A Writer's Wish List". You can find her newest creation "Ode To a Departing Manuscript" on her linked website. Think Broadway meets the painfully exposed undulating heart of every writer I know.
I love Kim'songs!!
