Chicken Spaghetti has the skinny on the 2007 Orbis Pictus Award winners, doled out by the
NCTE. A fine showing of superb non-fiction. The only gaping hole I could think of off the top of my head was
Kathleen Krull's biography of Isaac Newton. How'd they miss that one?
I think, although the text was very engaging, that the lack of source notes was very problematic. Well researched non-fiction should also be well-cited.

That was a similar objection noted by the ALA Notables committee. I understand the concern, of course. Still, it's hard not to love the book in spite of that. So engaging. So interesting. Ah well.
