On a related note, Ms. Coughlan, the lady behind the site, is currently debating the merits of coming to New York for this Friday's Kidlit Drink Night. Please be so good as to go to her site so as to encourage her to visit the Big Apple. Group effort on this one, people. Let's see some hustle!
Re: The Kidlit Drink Night - Can I call it a literary salon (as shown below)?

Thanks for the pointer to my Very Special Interview.
ReplyDeleteAs an update, it's looking pretty good for NYC!
My NYC friend is up for me staying both nights and her classwork is done, so she's free on Saturday. A reader wrote in about a direct DC-NYC bus that is super cheap (I can read on the bus as well as a train). And I'll probably get an escort back to the Village from another reader. I can drive back home with my brother, who coincidentally will be leaving Northern NJ on Sunday morning. It's all coming together.
Now, when's my tour of your library? Are you working Sat.?
I AM working Saturday. How nicely this all plays out. Yes, anyone who wants to stop by on Saturday for "Noodle Tales" around 3:30 is more than welcome to do so. Failing that, I'll give you a tour. Had a bunch of Harper Collins people over the other day and they seemed to have a good time. Just let me know when you want to stop by. We're open 10 to 5 on Sats.
ReplyDeleteSign me up for Noodle Tales and the tour after.
ReplyDelete(And then maybe a quick drink?)
Let's see. This Saturday I've karaoke in Brooklyn. I think we could do a drink beforehand, though. Most definitely. Mind if me husband tags along?
ReplyDeleteOf course not. But, did you say...karaoke? You might not be able to get rid of me.
ReplyDeleteHey, man. You are more than welcome to come. It's a great little place with a nice mix of locals and slumming Manhattanites. You will, however, have to deal with my goofy goofy friends.
