Children's literature is not for the weak. It is a ruthless cutthroat business with lots of gnashes of the teeth. Children's librarianship, in contrast, is a sweet sweet ride. Now you can hear me as I growl, gargle, and kvetch my way through news, reviews, and interviews. Kidlit podcasting = scary new world.

How About a Tasty "Golden Compass" Laden Treat?
Guess what I found? A little early footage from The Golden Compass. Consider it your early birthday present.
Thanks, LW. It was working well enough this morning. Hopefully someone's let Dark Horizons know that it was removed at some point. I've switched the link accordingly.
I thought the same thing. Somewhere I saw an artist's rendering of what the final monkey will look like. He was very silky indeed. I think it'll be all right.
I like that. I think we should all make our names the user verification words. If I weren't already logged in, I'm sure I could come up with something pretty snazzy.
Darn. I was hoping to see it, but when I click on the link it asks me for a password.

I can't seem to get the whole link in the comment box. Ah well, they've got the correct on (at least as I write) at:

It worked this time. Thanks. It looks great! Nicole Kidman looks oh so perfect as Mrs. Coulter!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for posting. I can't wait for this movie. I just listened to all three book of the trilogy on audiobook.
ReplyDeleteI hope Mrs. Coulter's demon grows some of his silky golden fur by the time he's fully animated.

ReplyDeleteHa! "Clofsnqt" is me. I was so tired at 10:15 PM last night that I copied the word verification into the space for my name. Duh!
