Children's literature is not for the weak. It is a ruthless cutthroat business with lots of gnashes of the teeth. Children's librarianship, in contrast, is a sweet sweet ride. Now you can hear me as I growl, gargle, and kvetch my way through news, reviews, and interviews. Kidlit podcasting = scary new world.
While we're on the subject of adaptations, has the Little House on the Prairie musical with Patrick Swayze and Melissa Gilbert been discussed yet? I can't remember if I read it on a kidlit blog or on one of my Broadway message boards.
Hm. Dunno. I heard of (God help us all they actually used this name) "Prairie", but I don't recall any big names being attached to that project. I'll go check that tip out. Kudos.
I started the book, but never did finish it.
