I find the whole subject fascinating, and have done a whole lot of head slapping this week.

Ow.Bkbudshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07500606884621653876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15089389.post-1146699220705293232006-05-03T19:33:00.000-04:002006-05-03T19:33:00.000-04:00As I noted back at the post you refer to, I think ...As I noted back at the post you refer to, I think it's that so many places simply slap a link in to Amazon when they talk about a book, so it's great for a publiser/book to have lots of reviews there (ideally positive). In general, I think more folks tend to post positive reviews, too, so that helps, but even if there are just lots of reviews, I suspect the big number makes people feel more confident in buying. And no, I am not joking when I say that.Greg Pincushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00449684160718426340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15089389.post-1146697374181133672006-05-03T19:02:00.000-04:002006-05-03T19:02:00.000-04:00Part of my ranking is due, in large part, to my my...Part of my ranking is due, in large part, to my mysterious Number One Fan. Number One Fan has systematically given me a positive vote for every single children's book I've ever reviewed. This may seem innocent enough, until you realize that Number One Fan had to sift through 1,000+ reviews to do this. Number One Fan knows that I tend to write my reviews in the evening after work, and gives me my positive vote in the morning. It's rather touching. I've no idea who this person is and they've been with me for about 2 years now.

But in answer to your question, it's just the number of reviews. And if I can get them in early I think it gives me some kind of bonus.fusenumber8https://www.blogger.com/profile/16216979020263363698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15089389.post-1146691035665212632006-05-03T17:17:00.000-04:002006-05-03T17:17:00.000-04:00You may use "weird-ass picture books" with my bles...You may use "weird-ass picture books" with my blessing.

How do you get the high ranking on Amazon, is it number of reviews or how much we loooove your reviews? Hey, you can take my reviews of weird-ass picture books and maybe break into the top 100.MotherReaderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11274509991340797264noreply@blogger.com
