Ironically, the flower analogy works a little too well. Flowers grown in hot houses are often exotics. Dandelions, too, are invaders from the Old World. So none of these storybook flowers is truly native, just as all Americans ("Native" or not) are ancestors of Old Worlders if you go back far enough. So why do the hot house flowers have more of a right than the dandelions? Well, I'm sure we can think of plenty of delightful answers to that one.<br /><br />(BTW...
