Children's literature is not for the weak. It is a ruthless cutthroat business with lots of gnashes of the teeth. Children's librarianship, in contrast, is a sweet sweet ride. Now you can hear me as I growl, gargle, and kvetch my way through news, reviews, and interviews. Kidlit podcasting = scary new world.

A tip of a hat to a very classy blog
Ever since School Library Journal featured Kids Lit as one of the top children's literature blogs out there, I've been reading the site with a kind of manic glee. My glee has apparently come back tenfold though since today I've been given an extraordinary shout-out by Tasha Saecker herself. She said I had "phenomenal style". I would like to point out that I also have an ego the size of Pittsburgh and that such comments only cause it to expand a little further. Just the same, a very deep thank-you to the kind Ms. Saecker and a happy hello as well. I'm all ah-flutter from the attention.
