A Sneak Peek At Sendak's Latest

And a tip of the hat to Maud Newton for bringing this puppy to my attention. If you read the April 17th New Yorker article on Maurice Sendak then you know that he's been working with Robert Sabuda (of pop-up fame) to create a project entitled Mommy. Well here's a site where you can see character sketches and some rather scary pop-up motifs come alive. The book (according to the website) is due out from Scholastic in Autumn of 2006.
