A Remarkable Showing

I would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who attending the kidlit gathering that went on last night. At the moment I'm a touch tired and won't be able to report on the proceedings until later. Suffice it to say, magnificent turnout all around. I think we may have gotten a good 35-some people, at least. Here are some stats until I'm able to post more:

Longstockings Present - 3
Blue Rose Girls Present - 1
Hot Men of Children's Literature Present - 1
Public Librarians - 1 (me)
Private School Children's Librarians - 1
People I Would Like To Think I Convinced To Become Librarians - 3

More later.

My writers group wanted to attend but we meet on Thursday nights. We home we can hit another kid's lit mix and mingle. Sounds like a good time was had by all.

Did you have two drinks on my behalf, as you promised ;)? I am holding you to it, Fuse.

Hope you have another such get-together soon. I won't miss it!

Cheryl and I discussed it and we think we'll definitely put another one on at some point. Give us some time to recoup though.

Oooh! Which HMOCL?

BTW, since HM are one of my fave things to think about beside books and chocolate, I'm now trying to think of Dead HMOCL nominations for you.

Next time I definitely want to be there - but you might have a start a new category of your tabulation.

In the event that there are no HMOCL left (don't laugh, people... it could happen) we'll crank up the DHMOCL machine. I think we can rest easy for the interim, however.

Oh.. and the HMOCL from the party was John Green. Who is, for the record, awesome.
