Children's literature is not for the weak. It is a ruthless cutthroat business with lots of gnashes of the teeth. Children's librarianship, in contrast, is a sweet sweet ride. Now you can hear me as I growl, gargle, and kvetch my way through news, reviews, and interviews. Kidlit podcasting = scary new world.

Baby, You're a Lost Girl
Remember that whole Lost Girls controversy? You know. The one surrounding Alan Moore's recent pornographic work featuring a grown up Dorothy from Oz, a grown up Alice from Wonderland, and a grown up Wendy from Peter Pan? Well it seems that Canadian Customs decided that in spite of its literary bent, the graphic novel was too hot for Canada and shipments have been halted from entering the country. Looks like they're getting in anyway, though.
