Children's literature is not for the weak. It is a ruthless cutthroat business with lots of gnashes of the teeth. Children's librarianship, in contrast, is a sweet sweet ride. Now you can hear me as I growl, gargle, and kvetch my way through news, reviews, and interviews. Kidlit podcasting = scary new world.

The Tale of Doofus and Dilligent
What do NYPL employees create in their spare time? Well, if they happen to be taking a Leadership Academy course, they post useful information like the following movie on YouTube. I had no idea we had two lion suits. I've only ever seen one.
Very funny!... and interesting that lions work at the NYPL. I'm surprised the children aren't frightened. I think that toilet scene might require a little lion suit washing!

Well, you know New York kids. Lions don't scare 'em a bit. Get a live goat in here though and they'd probably be crawling up the walls in fear.
ReplyDeleteI liked the way Dilligent pretended to wash his hands under the running water, and then was all uppity about Doofus's bathroom hygiene.
