If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, He Will Eat For a Day. If You Teach Him How to Bake Cookies He Will Eat All His Life

I don't actually have anything to post here. I'm just in a slightly wacky mood due to a nice Little, Brown & Co. Preview (synopsis forthcoming) and this phrase popped into my head as I overheard a tot reading If You Give a Mouse a Cookie to his mom at work later in the day.

    I just recently taught this little piece of wisdom to my six-year-old son.

    But my version went like this: "Ask your big brother to rip the head off your lego guy and you will have one headless lego guy. Ask your brother to teach you to rip the head off your lego guy and you can decapitate all of your lego guys, forever."

    Another spectacular parenting moment.

    My husband said the EXACT SAME THING to me just this Wednesday, when he saw the book in my office. Weird!
