Children's literature is not for the weak. It is a ruthless cutthroat business with lots of gnashes of the teeth. Children's librarianship, in contrast, is a sweet sweet ride. Now you can hear me as I growl, gargle, and kvetch my way through news, reviews, and interviews. Kidlit podcasting = scary new world.

The Nearly Missed Rant
Just last Thursday I missed a perfectly lovely rant on Book Book Book and it almost got away from me. Fortunately the author linked to me and I was able to find it at the very last minute. It's a collection of thoughts on The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, a book that Hollywood's under the impression they should make. Hollywood, for the record, is incorrect in this assumption. Check out why.
And I nearly missed this post, having been away and without internet access for almost a week! What a nice compliment to come home to. Thanks.
