Children's literature is not for the weak. It is a ruthless cutthroat business with lots of gnashes of the teeth. Children's librarianship, in contrast, is a sweet sweet ride. Now you can hear me as I growl, gargle, and kvetch my way through news, reviews, and interviews. Kidlit podcasting = scary new world.
I think my kids would LOVE these! Though I'm sure there are negatives, think about all the great aspects - the kids stay entertained, they get to think they are "Watching TV", and they are exercising - hoping with mom or dad exercising alongside.
What horrifies me most about this is that Richard Simmons is recommending the product. Does anyone know his true age? He does not look good...wearing silky shorts and a tank top should be banned for this "gentleman." Why a youngster would look at him and be encouraged to exercise I'm not sure...perhaps staying away from drugs might be a better way for Simmons to exploit himself.
