Harry Potter and the Half Blood Artist Formerly Known as Prince

Any tangential connection to children's literature does right by me. We've an especially amusing little site this morning. Thinking of names for rock bands is fun. Thinking up names of children's books is fun. So what happens when you combine already existing rock band and literary names? Here are some examples I enjoyed particularly:

Charlie Daniels and the Chocolate Factory
Horton Hears a Hoobastank
Wallflowers for Algernon
Anne of Al Green Gables
Horton Hears The Who
Green Day and Ham
The Cat Power in the Hat
Warlocks in Socks
One Fish, Two Fish, Hootie and the Blowfish
or
One Phish, U2 Fish, Simply Red Fish, Vida Blue Fish
White Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe
Damn Yankees in King Arthur's Court
Oh, the Places You'll Go-Gos
The Cure-ious George
The Smiths Family Robinson
Horton Hears The Who
Winnie The Who
The Modest Mouse and the Motorcycle
Harry Potter & My Half-Bloody Valentine Prince
Harry Potter & Sly & The Sorcerer's Family Stone
Harry Potter and the New Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and the New Power Generation
Deborah Harry Potter
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Roses
Charlie and the C&C Music Factory
The Little Prince & The Revolution
Good Charlotte's Web

and of course...

Are You There, Godsmack? It's Me, Margaret

Honestly, though, these are the just the children's literature ones. Their creators are all credited on the site. This is just a drop in the ocean, however. Definitely check out the adult fiction as well.

Genevieve, you are a genius. I have a particular fondness for your 10,000 Maniacs Magee.

I would quibble with Genevieve in that I think Captain Underpants and Tenille is funnier, but I only say that cuz I didn't think of it first. Tip o' the hat!

Thanks for posting that link, Fuse. Good stuff there.

Oh, disco mermaids, I like, especially The Earth etc.

Gregory K., I think your quibble is right: Captain Underpants and Tennille is funnier.
