What's It Called?

First off, editor Sharyn November apparently has a blog. Shows what I know. Secondly, she recently had a poll to determine how we should be referring to everyone's favorite style of literature. Is it:

A) Children's Books
B) Children's Literature
C) Kid Lit
D) Kiddie Lit

The results are in. My favorite term, kidlit, is technically not on there. One word, two syllables. That's the way to go, my friend.

That's disappointing. I prefer the term "kid lit". Not "kidlit," though--I tend to stress the wrong syllable and it ends up sounding like a kind of movie theater candy. "A small popcorn and a box of kidlits." You see?
Anyway.
Children don't LIKE the word children, in my opinion.

that was the one and only post with any "kidlit blogging" content, however.

*sigh*
I noticed.

By the way, Adam, I'm going to go out and market a new brand of tasty treats called Kidlits. I imagine they'll be an acquired taste, however.
