Tag. You're It.

The blog of literary genius and gaddabout Roger Sutton had a particularly amusing posting this morning. Seems that in some countries the official prize (in this case, Ireland's CBI Bisto Book of the Year Award) is handed from winner to winner every year. As you might imagine, Mr. Sutton has some fun with the idea of what would happen if that applied to the Newbery or Caldecott. As I write this I'm looking at Eric P. Kelly's 1929 Newbery Award (so shiny!) for The Trumpeter of Krakow which we have currently on display. Sorry, Ms. Perkins. Get your own. This one's MINE!
