Smart Editors Blog. A Scientifically Verified Fact.

New blogs are a dime a dozen. New blogs by children's editors? Rare flowers in the field. Obviously this assertion is less powerful when you consider that I had a piece on a children's literature editorial blog on ... okay, well on Monday. Can I help it that it's suddenly the cool thing to do? A new portion of my Blogroll will have to be dedicated to these editing types. Now today's blog is from a small press editor from Texas entitled Buried In the Slush Pile. It was discovered by Big A little a and is worth giving a peek to.

I agree...the Buried Editor has a fun blog. Love, love, love your blog, by the way, and a big THANK YOU for giving us a 'shout' in your links section. Rock on children's librarians! Our Disco Mermaid #1, Jay Asher, is a huge fan of your site, a librarian as well, and an aspiring "Hot Men Of Children's Literature" nominee. Seriously, that's his main goal in life.

Thanks again!

blogs by children's editors rare, what about blogs by children? Serious ones, not gossip and graffiti blasts between their friends? Anyway, that's why my son is trying to do. He's wanted to be a writer for years, and asked to go to writing camp rather than others. Just started a blog but has more done than posted. He writes, alone, doesn't let dad look over shoulder, but then dad does layout style sheet stuff, prolly poorly. It's a team effort, but authentic focus on the kid perspective, his opinions. And his friends/cousins, to give a range. Video planned too.
Anywho, check out when can. If you have any need for a Kid Reviewer, contact Nick, he'll get on it. He has two website reviews in cue, two movies, several books, etc.
