Ms. Smith then notes that 1960’s - The Golden Book Of Chemistry Experiments ($1,500) didn't quite make it into the top ten, but that it has an interesting history.

This book was apparently taken off the market (banned?) years ago after a certain teen, David Hahn conducted some very ambitious experiments. An article in Harper’s Magazine and a subsequent biography, The Radioactive Boy Scout, renewed interest in the book, it seems.

Radioactive Boy Scout has been on my To Be Read list for years. Maybe 2007 will be the one.
