That's the Aussie paperback version.
The next according to the Misrule blog is a new on coming out in March and edited by Sharyn November. This is the cover that apparently will be found in Australia, Britain, AND America.
I like the first. The verdict is being weighed on the second.

i saw that second cover at a preview breakfast at midwinter. i like it, but i think mostly because the girl looks like dawn from buffy and i am a nerd!
Is someone keeping a list of best blog title posts? Because I vote for this one.
That Australian cover for Pinhoe Egg is quite nice indeed. The US cover leaves out the horse, the UK cover leaves out everything.
Wow, that Aussie cover is GORGEOUS. I'm mostly okay with the USian one, but the other is just striking. And it's nice to see a brighter color palette used for a fantasy cover too.
i think our cover is awesome, of course. so does the author.
