Anti-Censorship group for the kiddies

Who knew? Some genius has come up with a website for kids to join and speak out against censorship where they live. It's called kidspeak and it's a heckuva website. Definitely give it a gander when you can. Plus, it has a list of participating bookstores. The Bank Street Bookstore (which came up in an earlier post of mine this week) is the only Manhattan one listed. Take THAT Books of Wonder!

Fuse,
whaddya mean, "snotty old Books of Wonder?" I've been shopping there on and off since the store was on 7th Avenue, next to the late, lamented Michael's Muffins; my experiences at the store have been good. I take it yours have not? I haven't yet been to Bank Street.

See, that's what I get. I know that Books of Wonder is a lovely little institution. I know this. But I like sticking up for the little guy. Just the same, your objection is noted. Books of Wonder is not snotty. Just very very very big.
