Well, That's One Way To Separate Yourself From Your Best Known Role

Tired of everyone thinking you're Harry Potter? Try riding a horse naked in front of large crowds of people. Daniel Radcliff is soon to star in Equus. Says Radcliff's spokesperson, "nudity was not the focus of the play". Nope. Wasn't the focus of Hair either, but that's what we all remember it for, don't we?

Many thanks to A Chair, A Fireplace, and A Tea Cozy for the news.

It's certainly what I remember.

Um...you remember? 1968? I sure do, but if you do, you must be related to Dorian Gray!

Well, my mother saw the original London production... but I suppose my own remembering is probably tied a little more closely to my college production (to which Dan is alluding above). I tried out but did I get in? Nooooo. Some dinky Freshmen did and here was I, a fabulous Senior with previous theatrical credits to my name, and I didn't even get in, and all my friends were in it, and it looked like so much fun.....

As you can see, I'm still harboring more than my fair share of childish resentment.

*pout*

I tried to get into a production in college as well and didn't make the cut. It was at the university in Canterbury and apparently an American who couldn't do a British accent was going to stick out like a sore thumb. Wound up being stage manager and having to go to the president of the college to get permission to keep the nudity. After a quick conversation, he gave us the okay. You gotta love the Brits. The first full rehearsal was a bit frightening for all of us though... :)

I'm pleased to see I'm not alone. YOU HEAR THAT, DAN! PLEASED, I TELLS YA!

(Dan starred in our production)
