Extra Points For Mentioning the Decapitated Chicken
I tried to decide which of these two entries in the How ? Should Have Ended series I should include. I've gone with Willy Wonka, but please also check out How Lord of the Rings Should Have Ended as well.

I once made my grandfather watch "The Adventures of Milo and Otis." Afterward, he said, "I think the movie would have been better if the dog had just saved the cat floating away early on. I realize it would have made a shorter movie..."

Actually, the tunnel sequence never freaked me out as a child cause I had this odd trust in Gene Wilder (thanks to his appearances on The Electric Company). No, the scene that gave me nightmares was Violet blowing up like a blueberry. I just could not TAKE her sudden spherical state.
That freaked me out, as did a weird Sesame Street segment involving an orange singing a song from Carmen. I should search YouTube for that thing to cast out my inner demons. *shudder*
AUUUGGHH! That is it!
Actually, rewatching it now, I see it's not scary at all. That Sesame Street Milk Crisis video though? Still very odd.
