Cybils Gets Some Lovin' PW-Style
Looks like the Cybils, that upstart little blog-based children's award that's growing increasingly popular, have been mentioned in PW's Children's Bookshelf.
That, in turn, reminds me. If you would still like to nominate something as the best children's book of the year, getcher hiney over to the website and put in your vote before the gong sounds on November 20th. You'll feel better once you do.

Thanks for the link to PW. Do you ever find the time to sleep?
I figure on sleeping in '07. '06 has been a good year to forgo that particular pleasure.
I dunno. Being mentioned so legitimately and so quickly by PW kind of takes some of the lovely upstart-ishness away.
Ah, but it was only mentioned in the online PW. Not in print. And no print publication (to the best of my knowledge) has acknowledged the legitimacy of the award. I'm old school enough to think that still allows the Cybils to be upstartish.
I nominate The CURSE OF THE BANE by Joseph Delaney and THE KING OF ATTOLIA by Megan Whalen Turner
All well and good, but you must do it on the Cybils website, m'love. Gotta say, your choices are swell. And what a great cover on the second. Gosh, I wonder who was responsible for it?
It's nice to have the PW folks give us a nod, even electronically. I'll take it.
But if you do get some sleep in '07, what happens to your blog? Where will we go for our Fuse fix?
Oh dear. Consider the ramifications. Can't you sleep retroactively? What were you doing in, say, 1997? Maybe you can send all your sleep back there.
