Fantastic job, m'dear. Thanks so much for putting this all together.
Well, I apologize for my tardiness. Things have been... uh.. just a bit hectic.
Onward!
One little typo: Bread and Roses Too should be Katherine Paterson, Clarion Books.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been waiting for this list (don't apologize for taking a bit, it's not like its a small chunk of reading to do!). I have Jen's YA list and between the two of you, I have my reading material till next year's awards!
Oh, goodness me. Looks like the "Blue" author and publisher got repeated somehow. Good catch. I'm sure that as much as Joyce Hostetter would love to claim a Paterson book under her belt, we shan't be allowing it as of yet.
Oh... and Becky if you want a superb list, I definitely recommend this year's 100 Books For Reading and Sharing as put out by NYPL this year. Top notch stuff there. *plug plug*
Congratulations on getting your list finalized and published.
What strikes me about looking at this list is how many of the books feel like friends to me, and how happy I am to see them on the list. I look forward to the judging phase!
I'd love to have time to go down this list, and the YA list, and Sheila's fantasy/SF list, and just read until I can't see anymore. Maybe someday...
Hi Elizabeth,
I tried to give Katherine Paterson credit for Bread and Roses, Too. Honest, I did! (see comments on Cybil page) (And yes, I wish I had written it...)
As of yet, the Cybil listing has not been changed. Perhaps you have more clout with the blogmaster than I do!
Joyce M Hostetter
