Just when you thought the Best Books of 2006 lists might be over and done with, in sweep the 2006 Blue Ribbons via The Bulletin of the Center of Children's Books.

Mondo kudos, of course, for the inclusion of Fly By Night. I find their picture book list more than a touch peculiar, but there's no knocking their fictional choices. Very well done on that account. Ditto their non-fiction (though would you really call The Poet Slave of Cuba non-fiction when it's a verse novel merely based on a true story?). But look! Kampung Boy! Yay!
