Even Stephen
Two children's literature references appeared on Wednesday night's showing of The Colbert Report, by the way. One in his regular segment Who's Not Honoring Me Now? which lamented the fact that he didn't get a MacArthur grant and David Macauley did. Later there was a Voldemort reference.
Not exactly news but I can't help loving that man of mine.

I've always been partial to the traditional "Even Steven" spelling...any reason you opted for the PH?
Yup. There was a segment on The Daily Show where he would mock debate Steven Carrell. Now the segment may have been called "Even Steven", but since we're dealing with only one Stephen here (and his name is spelled with the "ph") I felt it appropriate to name it after him.
Whew! Such justifications. I'm all ah-flutter.
