Who hasn't ever fantasized about the glamorous life of a literary agent? Finding new talent. Helping up-and-coming authors to grow. It sounds like so much fun when you think about it. Then you learn how it really is and suddenly it's amazing that anyone ever finds representation. Oh. My. God. People.
