Pancake Parlour

Y'all know my love of cupcakes. It's documented, cataloged, and scientifically verified by the greatest minds of our time. There is no debate. Should, however, a food of equal (or perhaps superior) empty calories wish to displace the cupcake from its throne, that item would have to be the pancake. I do love me my yummy nummy pancakes.

Come on down, then, to the Pancake Parlour. It's a restaurant chain in Australia with a kidlit theme to it. Would you care for a Doormouse Cheese Pleaser or are you more of a Queen of Hearts type?

The first indication that this chain is not American? Perhaps the long and loving attention paid to Little Black Sambo was a tip-off. How their obsession with Harold Lloyd fits into all of this I still don't know. I mean, the man was seriously hot, but never wrote a children's book as far as I can ascertain.

Worth giving a glance to, should you happen to be hungry in the heart of Melbourne or something.

Well, I had my suspicions. A pity. It seemed so nice.

Thanks for the Aussie heads up. I wish I could say I was a Melburnian. I don't suppose saying I'm a Kalamazooian is too shabby, though.
