Ms. Jackson, If You're Nasty
Poor anonymous blog commentators. Not only do they often get denied the chance to sign their name to a post because they don't have an account with the blogs they read, but now they've been officially designated "nasty". I've had my own run-ins with feisty Anonymous souls here and there, and sometimes I do wonder if the days of staying Anonymous are numbered. I can certainly envision a future where blogs require a name as part of the commenting process. All very interesting stuff.

No, my first name ain't baby, it's Janet. "Miss Jackson" if you're nasty.
This is what I took away from your post. Clearly, my brainradio overrides common sense.
Yeah. And what does it say about me when I work this phrase into more than on blog posting? Ten to one I'll get fifty people on this blog today who Googled the phrase, "Miss Jackson, if you're nasty". Just watch.
Many blogging sites do require a login, Xanga for one, and mighty irritating it is, too. I like the LiveJournal compromise--people can decide for themselves whether to allow anonymous comments.
For some reason this reminded me of when AOL was first up and popular and had those groups you could join - so I saw "quilting" and thought, oh cool, I just started a quilt, I will go online and join up - and of course, it was just teenagers talking porn like all the groups ended up being... off track but at least I didn't call anyone fat.
