- The Winged Girl of Knossos by Erick Berry My Chapter Book Pick: A 1934 Newbery Honor. Never heard of it? Well that's a shame. A retelling of the Icarus myth that would go over like gangbusters with today's Lightning Thief loving crowd. Seriously worth reading (if you can find a copy).
